Hi Friends! I wanted to take the time to introduce myself a little bit more personally. My name is Paige, my students usually call me Miss Paige or Miss Rumble, and I’m your friendly neighborhood piano teacher! I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in May of 2020, during the international panini, with a Bachelor of Music degree in Keyboard Performance and a double minor in Music Theory and Music History. I am currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and we are on summer break right now. It is such a strange concept to have free time, because I usually don’t have a ton of free time to myself, but I’m learning to do some new skills and activities!
In my now copious amounts of free time, you can find me up in Wahoo (yes that is a real town name) practicing my organ skills at the church that I work at, in Lincoln teaching my students via Zoom, or at the park with my workout buddy struggling to train for a 5k. My hair is currently a bright purple, but it changes every couple of weeks so let’s keep that a guessing game between us! I’m going to use this platform to post about my life and what I’m up to, along with tips I’ve learned in the past 4 years of teaching a bunch of kiddos, both the to-dos and the not to-dos of teaching, and general information about how to practice with an injury (More on that later). This blog is family friendly, and the studio and I do NOT stand for hateful words or language of any form. We are LGBT friendly, allies to all minorities, both racially and religiously, and we lift up others instead of putting them down. If that’s an issue, you’re welcome to leave. I would love to get to know you more as well, if you follow my blog at all, so please leave any questions, both professional and personal curiosities, down below!
